MDSN Desktop Wallpaper Changer is a tool designed to apply a snowfall animation on your desktop. It gives you the possibility to create a list with different wallpapers to automatically rotate, as well as to adjust various snowfall settings, such as density and speed. The app features a bunch of intuitive options that can be figured out with ease.
Runs at Windows startup from the systray
The setup operation is a fast job that shouldn’t give you any trouble, as there are no special options involved. Although this isn’t mentioned anywhere, it gets automatically integrated into the Windows autorun sequence, so it launches by default every time you turn on the computer. This can be later disabled.
Once installed, MDSN Desktop Wallpaper Changer gets integrated into the systray to facilitate quick access to its configuration settings while enabling you to carry on with your normal desktop activity without interrupting you with balloon messages.
Add wallpapers and adjust snowfall properties
The main configuration panel has an outdated design, yet intuitive layout, inviting you to populate a list with as many wallpapers as you want. They can be previewed and the auto-rotate frequency can be set in seconds, minutes or hours.
When it comes to snowfall settings, it’s possible to adjust the density, layers, speed and size, as well as to keep the snow on top of any other elements on the desktop, including any active applications. Any picture can be removed from the list if you change your mind.
Evaluation and conclusion
