In July of 2010, an affiliate of Alpha Phi Omega, Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, was chartered under the „Alpha Phi Omega, Inc.“ banner. The purpose of this affiliate is to promote the Alpha Phi Omega, Inc. fraternity and expand the membership opportunities of the fraternity to those who reside in Canada and seek their membership by becoming an affiliate.

the Alpha’s new International President Danette Anthony Reed has been chosen during the biennial
International Convention, held July 12-14 in Orlando Florida. Reed was installed as the
International President on Thursday, July 14. She will succeed James W. Brown, who has served as
the 31st International President since 2006.

the foundation has also provided over $1.8 million in scholarships to participating alpha kappa alpha sorority, inc. members. the foundation is the largest scholarship provider to alpha kappa alpha sorority, inc.
the foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is governed by a national board of directors, which is comprised of members of alpha kappa alpha sorority, inc., as well as national and local foundation staff.
