Need I say more? Each major software update is a gamble on whether you like it or not. New features are great to see, but if you don’t like them, you will likely have to live with it. That is the price of freedom. I’m even willing to uphold that payment in exchange for getting the occasional brilliant upgrade. The fact that the stability and performance improvements in CS6 does mean it’s almost perfect is good enough for me. The only downside would be the limited support for Windows Vista and Windows 7. I’m sure they will do what they can to make it work. Switching to a Mac seems like a viable solution, but I fear it will be difficult due to the closed nature of the software. Lightroom doesn’t look like it will work very well as a Mac-only solution.
